Scope & Role:
Reports to FS SBU Corporate Communications for global FS GBU internal communications programs & projects:
oEmployee Engagement Communications support for global awareness campaigns across the Financial Services line of business, i.e., concepts (for visual identity / themes & taglines), multi-channel content (including intranet, electronic messages, internal social media, etc), plus tracking and measurement
oIGATE Integration Communications support for both general awareness and targeted updates on integration activities
oBusiness As Usual (BAU) assignments various copywriting / copyediting tasks related to Global Internal Communications for FS line of business, mostly for FS SBU Talent hub (intranet)
oAdministrative support for: webcasts, image-document library on SharePoint, executive email templates, Talent Editorial Calendar documentation, maintaining current data on FS SBU Talent, i.e, the most current Group earnings results, FS SBU headcount, awards list, global organization chart, links to World Reports as new editions are published, links, global newsletters published across FS, etc.
Editorial services (writing, editing) for communications that include:
oArticles for FS SBU Talent
oExecutive messages
oNewsletter content
oScripts for meetings: awareness among executives, stakeholders, train-the-the-trainer sessions, Meeting-In-A-Box, webcasts, etc.
oDraft PowerPoint presentations for various internal programs / meetings
oYammer posts to build a communities of interest
oSupport for YamJams / Hackathons to build global discussions around specific topics per campaign
oOther communications-based activities
BAU related: Coordinate with FS GBU Global Functions as needed, ie People Care (HR), Delivery Excellence, IT, Finance, Marketing, etc., to provide internal communications support for internal projects that need global awareness across the FS SBU
BAU related: Apply journalistic and graphics skills to write, edit, and publish articles to our global intranet, FS GBU Talent
Responsibilities
Collaborate with other writers on the team, plus graphics team members to:
Support FS GBU Internal Communications awareness / BAU program by meeting writing, editing & project management deliverables, including building internal publicity with executive announcements, Talent articles, Yammer content, meetings management (mostly virtual, some live), screensavers, collateral, etc.
Write / edit executive messages, content for execs to share at meetings to evangelize, articles for FS GBU intranet, Yammer content, and content for other related channels as they evolve, to support awareness of global FS GBU IP Program
Create / Edit content for multiple channels, ie Talent, TalentXtra, WhatsApp, Yammer, etc.
Manage and publish regular newsletters (current weekly global newsletter and others as needed), including copywriting, editing contributions, basic graphics
Copywriting and editing for awareness communications supporting FS global initiatives, events & key topics
Execute logistics of key events, i.e., executive webcasts, regional meetings, team meetings
Create collateral as needed, ie, posters, flyers, screensavers
Build a strong network of contacts to facilitate various communications needs, to research comms projects, to expedite approvals, etc.
Become proficient on the company intranet Content Management System, Builder Tools (Newsletter Builder, Message Builder, Survey Builder, Event Builder), as well as the executive blog protocols
Qualifications and other requirements:
Education: Degree in communications/marketing; non-engineering candidates preferred unless they possess exceptional marketing/communications writing & editing skills. Masters in literature or composition a plus
Extremely proficient in English, for both writing/editing; clarity in verbal communication
Work Experience: 3-5 years of marketing and/or corporate communications experience with heavy emphasis on writing, editing & proofreading
Strong PowerPoint skills
Demonstrable success in managing a communications program from planning through execution
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, take initiative & work independently
Ability to work with all levels of the organization, including direct interaction with the leadership team
Ability to build and sustain a comprehensive communications network among employees all key areas of the business
Demonstrated ability to have fun!
Preferred: basic graphics skills, to source and format graphics for PowerPoints, intranet, general communications
