Job description:
Assisting Scientists in the activities related to erection and commissioning and operation and Maintenance of Meteorological Masts, Climbing of Masts, extensive travelling etc.
Selection Procedure:
- Candidates can apply on or before 22/7/2016

How To Apply?:
- The engagement is time bound, purely temporary on contract basis and co-terminus with the completion of the project activity. Further, the engagement will be initially for a period of one year, extendable further depending upon the performance and need. In any case, such extension will not be more than 5 years.
- The crucial date for determining age limit, qualification, experience, etc., will be the last date for receipt of application.
- The Selection process shall include an aptitude test and/or interview and climbing of 50m height mast. The number of Project Assistants to be selected may vary based on actual requirement.
- In case of large number of applications received, screening of applications will be carried out based on percentage of marks obtained in the examination mandated as essential qualification, so as to restrict the number of candidates (to a reasonable number) to be called for next stage of selection process.
- Preference will be given to candidates from the North Eastern Regionshaving good communication skill in English, Hindi and local language of the respective States.
- Mere possession of minimum prescribed qualification and experience will not entail a candidate for being called for aptitude test and/or interview.
- NIWE strives to have a work force which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Only such candidates who are earnest, willing, medically fit and capable to climb wind masts and undertake extensive travel throughout the country need apply for the position.
- Aptitude Test and /or Interview will be conducted in Chennai or in any one of the NE States. The date and venue will be intimated in due course. No TA/DA will be paid for attending Aptitude Test / Interview.
- Interested candidates fulfilling the requirement may send their application in the prescribed format at Annexure –A.
- Since the earlier advertisement hosted in NIWE’s website on 18th April 2016 was cancelled, the applicants who have already applied in response to that advertisement need to apply again if they fulfills the criteria of this advertisement.
