Job Description For Sr. Engineer

Designation: Sr. Engineer

Department: Project

Report to: Project In charge / Project Manager / Project Coordinator.

Qualifications: D.C.E, B. E Civil, B. Tech Civil etc.

Experience: 10 to 15 years experience in constructions field preferred.

Gender: Male candidate.

Skills: Good communication skills, strong convincing power, Sincere, Punctual, basic computer & email drafting knowledge is must. Project Management, Quality Management, Supervision, Managing Profitability, Estimating, Quality Focus etc.

Industry: Only Constructions.

Rolls & Responsibilities:

Essential Functions of Engineer:

Basic to good understanding of civil, architectural, mechanical or electrical discipline.

Good analytical skills and the ability to effectively use a variety of estimating, scheduling.

The ability to effectively communicate with management, contractors, agencies, suppliers, customers, clients and consultants. Ability to travel to different sites at different locations.

Job Duties:

Support the Project Manager, Superintendent or other management roles in the construction process throughout all phases of the life-cycle of a project to include estimating, negotiation, contracting, construction administration and closeout of individual projects.

Support the PM in negotiating contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders.

Develop an understanding of how to maintain and require compliance with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project to prevent rework and delays.

Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as accounting, store, purchase, billing, safety, HR etc.

Participate in managing activities that are related to project closeout to ensure timely completion.

Assist with the evaluation of projects for constructability and value-engineer cost savings.

Ensure the quality and speed of work.

Proper study of BOQ, condition of contract.

Debit notes to contractors /suppliers/agencies for wastage, poor quality of work, retification of work, damage or loss of materils/item/equipments etc.

Participate in life-long learning opportunities and professional development.

Participate in daily, weekly staff meetings and industry networking functions.

To prepare MIS on monthly basis, monthly consumption reports, barchart flow etc.

Technical Supervision Of On Going Work:

Discussing technical problems / Drawings and execution difficulties with Sr. Engineer / Project Manager / Project In charge.

Coordinating with different sub contractors / Agencies to maintain the project/site speed of construction.

Controlling the wastage of material and to improve on quality of workmanship and quantity of work.

Checking the received material and preparing the quality report.

To maintain quality of all civil work such as Concreting, Masonry, Plastering, Flooring etc.

Communicating all necessary instructions to Supervisors, sub contractors and departmental labours.

Preparing and submitting Daily Progress Report to Sr.

Raising debit memo with the help of Sr. Engineer to concerned agencies for major / minor wastage or rework Occurred on project / site.

NOTE:

1) Able to handle site independently. Ready to stay at job location.

2) Only candidates having experience in industrial & infra Construction.
