Must have working knowledge on finance and should be able to coordinate with financiers for suitable financing of the fleet.
Would be responsible for registering and insuring each vehicle, and ensuring that all required documents are always up to date.
Must maintain vehicle service schedule and inspection records to ensure compliance with manufacturers’ servicing schedules.
Negotiate and establish repair cost or parts pricing with commercial vendors.
Must maintain a record to demonstrate that all the vehicles in their fleet are optimized and there is no irregularity in usage of vehicles.
May manage an internal parts and service department or may appoint an independent service center and parts supplier to handle the work.
To minimize downtime, managers negotiate strict servicing time limits and negotiate
priority repair schedules with service centers.
Should maintain a professional relationship with the drivers and ensure they maintain the desired TAT and are loyal to organization.
Must maintain data to continuously check fuel efficiency.Highlight vehicle/operational concerns & issues to top management.:
