- Maintain a working knowledge of all current underwriting guidelines, federal and state
- lending laws and have the ability to comprehensively explain all to others within and outside the organization.
- Interpret credit policy and investor guidelines and apply them to specific loans.
- Review accuracy and completeness of documents pertaining to Credit & Borrower Profile, Liabilities & Ratios, Employment & Income, Assets, Reserves & Down payment, Occupancy & Transaction Type, Title,Appraisal, Purchase Agreement and Program Specific documents.
- Review re-verification documentationand third party vendor documents in the loan file.
- Review loan file for compliance with all agency guidelines and clients overlays.
- Audit and/or re-underwrite loans from a credit, income and collateral
- standpoint on a daily basis and note any underwriting exceptions.
- Assess salability issues and repurchase
- risk and review for Frauds and Red Flags.
- Audit closed loan disclosures and signed loan documents.
- Effectively communicate with onshore QC Underwriters & SMEs to ensure quality output.

- The Ideal Candidate Must Have Any Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 3 years of underwriting experience in USMortgage Originations (not pre-underwriting) and
- Experience of reviewing both Conventional and Government loans
- Be familiar with US mortgage products and guidelines and a working knowledge of automated underwriting system.
- Have well developed oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Be detail oriented and organized to finddefects in files.
- Be proficient in Microsoft applications and open to learning and applying new software applications quickly.
SAL: 5 LPA TO 7 LPA plus incentives.
Job Location: Bangalore/Mumbai.
