Detail Of Post:
- Project Titled : Two Centuries of Indian Print’
- Essential Qualifications : Candidate must have a Ph.D degree, or must have submitted their dissertation at the time of applying, in the humanities and social sciences, from a reputed university. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of book printing and publishing in nineteenth century Bengal. The candidate should be fluent in English and Bengali,. and should have experience of creating and maintaining online sites, databases etc. Desirable qualifications : Courses taken in book history/ bibliography/ palaeography/ archiving; relevant publications in the area; experience in digitising and creating metadata.
- Duration : Two Years
- Salary : Rs 40,000 per month (consolidated)
- Age : Under 40 years at the time of applying.
Application Fee : Application is to be made in the prescribed form (price Rs 50/-), obtainable from the Information Counter of the University between 11 am-4 pm.
Selection Procedure:
- Written Test on 04/07/2016.
- Shortlisted candidates will undertake face to face interview.
- Dates are yet to be announced for the final selection
Walkin Procedure:
Last date of application is 04 July 2016. The date of interview and the list of eligible candidates will be put up on the university website by 11 July 2016, and on the notice board of the School of Cultural Texts and Records. No separate intimation will be sent to the applicants. Originals of mark-sheets, certificates and testimonials are to be produced at the time of interview. No TA/ DA is admissible.
