Job Requirement- SQL DBA-cum-Developer with T-SQL experience

Job Description:

– 3+ years’ experience working in a technical role (network, database, system analyst, or in a business role (business analyst, consultant) with an emphasis on technology. Preferably in Solaris and Windows environment.

– Advanced experience working with MS SQL 2008/2012, experience preferred as well, including the ability to understand data structures, write queries, and perform DBA tasks.

– Excellent knowledge of networking concepts (VPN/Frame Relays, TCP/IP, Routing/Firewalls, etc.) required

-Experience in writing and developing T-SQL scripts.

– Experience working on multiple operating systems, MS Operating systems, including 2003/2008/2012 required. Experience in scripting tasks, and automating and monitoring processes highly preferred.

– Proficient in the use of all common office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint etc.)

– Outstanding troubleshooting and analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

– Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills

– Ability to be available occasionally outside of business hours for critical escalated issues or product upgrades.

– Excellent knowledge about enterprise database architecture and SQL scripting knowledge.

– As primary administrator, provides on call support as needed for on-call issues with database environments and provides follow up and permanent resolution for reoccurring issues.

– Implements backup/recovery procedures to protect integrity of data in database environment.

– Actively manages backups along with other database administrators to ensure processes are successful and we can recover as a result.

– If necessary, participates in recovery of databases and assists with disaster recovery testing and documentation.

– Manages production database rollouts and validations during release rollouts.

– Performs routine reviews of databases and systems to ensure acceptable levels of performance.
