• Identify system requirements, solution tracks and effort estimates based on strategic vision and other constraints such as cost and schedule
• Perform market scan and cost-benefit analyses of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products making maximum use customization or already developed components
• Make recommendations based on evaluation of COTS products, results of POCs and capability analysis of existing components
• Shape and drive the architecture, design, and technical capabilities required to deliver recommended solutions
• Actively collaborate with other architects, technical leaders, and customer IT leadership spread over Globe
• Interface with the Automotive / Heavy Machinery OEMs business owners, solution architects and all other stakeholders in order to determine their long/short term visions and priorities in the after sale service (connected vehicle, partner ecosystem, warranty etc.) area.
• Build and mentor a team from a technical perspective
Desired Skills and Experience:
• 10 – 12 years of IT experience as technical architect role developing large- scale systems based on complex integration solutions and server/ cloud based web application
• Good experience in vast number of mobility platforms, especially from Enterprise architecture integrations design and implementation perspectives
• Min. 3 years of hands- on experience in developing end- to- end IoT applications that are comprised of cloud- based applications and services, web applications, data analytics, wireless communication systems, embedded sensors and devices along with mobile App
• Min 3 years of Hands-on experience on IOT.
• Should have implemented / Architected at least 2-3 Projects in this space from IT perspective for major Auto / Discrete manufacturers
• Good understanding of drivers for edge sensors, device provisioning, protocols like MQTT, CoAP , XMPP, HTTP, gateway/cloud interface, data management, data streaming
• Good understanding of sensor to gateway/cloud connectivity solutions like GPRS/3G/4G, WLAN, WiFi, BlueTooth, Zigbee, 6LoPAN and network configurations (Firewalls, Subnets)
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence both technical and non-technical customers
• Strong technical troubleshooting and performance analyzing on issues during the implementation/ support
• Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly absorb customer requirements and translate into technical solutions
• Provides technical direction for the design, development and system integration in the area of IoT solution development from definition phase through implementation in a nimble, startup like environment
• Participates in developing proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) with engagement or Project team managers and Subject Matter Experts; to develop estimates and work-breakdown; work scope for make-buy decision including developmental items
• Support the Sales Team as the Technical Lead in pre-sales consultation meetings and leads the overall technical solution in customer support and responding to RFIs / RFPs
• Assist in the evaluation of new solutions for integration into the IoT Roadmap/Strategy
