Accountabilities:
1. Develop scoring models and statistical analysis; provide code to customers or internal contacts to validate accuracy of production scoring code.
2. Interpret business plays to recommend (and execute) an analytic plan to supervisor and/or client.
3. Follow modeling best practices and provide feedback on ways to enhance current practices.
4. Provide technical support and be a resource to internal and external modelers.
5. Build statistical models and complete various analytic projects for a variety of applications including risk, fraud, collections in insurance, credit, telecom, collections, and government verticals. These projects will support internal development projects as well as client sponsored projects.
6. Conduct analysis and performance reports in support of existing and new customer sales.
7. Summarize and communicate conclusions and solutions to analytic and non-analytic stakeholders.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or quantitative methods (or equivalent years’ experience)
1. 7+ years demonstrated applied modeling and analytics experience in applicable industry.
2. Strong understanding of statistical methods applied to data analysis
3. User of SAS, SPSS, R or equivalent analytic software.
4. Understanding of various statistical methodologies including linear regression, logistic regression, and other advanced analytic techniques.
5. Fluency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to describe statistical results to non-statistical audiences
7. Experience processing large data sets.
8. Experience matching/merging multiple data sets .
