Details about the position:



Position: Team Lead – Intercompany Reporting

Location: Gurgaon

Shift Timing: Flexible



Requisites:



– 10 years of post qualification experience in a finance function with a complex multi-national corporation with a well regarded finance and accounting organisation

– Operational experience with complex financial processes and systems with reporting and compliance issues

– Preferably experience of U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting and compliance issues

– Previous exposure to Intercompany reporting and collections at a large multinational Finance Services Company

– Experience of finance process improvement to deliver business benefits in a service centre environment

Fluent in English and preferably other languages

Financial Reporting and Technical Skills: Requires a demonstrated understanding of insurance accounting & technical accounting with well established authority of accounting rules. Experienced background of Insurance accounting, with deep understanding of both Insurance & Re-Insurance accounting. Strong control environment background and expertise with a focus on right first time, on time.



Process and Improvement: A finance individual with a track record of designing processes and procedures and leading teams in driving improvement to better align corporate, regional and country objectives by ensuring the maintenance of strong internal controls and bringing best practices to the organization that measurably improve organizational performance.



Managerial Leadership/Team Building Skills: Able to work cohesively in a matrix structure. Ability to mentor, coach and develop key staff. Ability to work cohesively in a matrix structure.

– Good time management skills – ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines

– Strong Presentation Skills

Strong focus on attention to detail and the desire to deliver accuracy and quality



Responsibilities:



– Responsible for day-to-day management of the Intercompany Query Management & Reporting Team to ensure their output is delivered according to specified standards and set timelines.

– Manage the production of correcting Intercompany adjustments for Period Close

– Manage the production of Intercompany schedules including production of ageing schedules

– Manage complete ownership of the ICO period end process including decision making on adjustments in the end-state. In the interim state, manage the production of the monthly Intercompany Matching Report and lead its review with the NY Intercompany Controller

– Manage the production of draft P&L Intercompany matching reports (Reinsurance Vertical) by Reporting Office,

– Manage the review and sign off of the Reinsurance Vertical reports as per defined approval process

– Responsible for production of any ad-hoc business/ management reports based on requests from key stake-holders

– Actively seek process improvements that will make Intercompany Reporting more effective and efficient with an objective to facilitate the objective of an accelerated close

– Lead, develop and manage the team and contribute to the people agenda for Finance. Foster a climate of staff performance, development and succession planning
