Our SaaS product offering is targeted directly to contact centers and product organizations wanting a turnkey service and support platform integrated into their product.
Will you join us as a Senior Software Engineer to help build a cutting edge cloud technology stack built on Node.js, AngularJS, Redis, and PostgreSQL?
Answer yes, and join a passionate scrum team, obsessed about product user experience and applying modern technologies to solve real world problems. The right candidate likes to wear multiple hats, ranging from DevOps style activities to pure feature goodness and all the way to being obsessive about data collection and analytics.
The Role:
Responsible for the software architecture of complex systems and/or services provided to the customer
Identify product needs and potential enhancements, designs, develops and implements software solutions in conjunction with the Product Development Manager
Participate in the complete software development cycle from requirements analysis to deployment of the product
Delivers software applications and solutions within the set schedule with high degree of quality, extensibility and scalability
Lead the research and development to define Customer/Partner driven product features for increased product usage and selling
Write and review documentation needed for usage, maintenance and installation of applications and solutions
Cultivate strong working relationships with co-workers and individual contributors
Participate in interviewing and hiring practices as directed and advised by manager and/or Human Resources
Retain and keep appraised of industry intelligence, changes in the market place and opportunity for current and new products in Consumer space
The Basics:
B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.E from an accredited university or college (domestic or international)
5+ years working in a consumer internet or software company is required including, 3+ years of experience on Node.js
Experience with consuming and building web APIs
Good sense of usability and design in SaaS products
Experience in agile development or scrum
Linux development
Your Specialties:
Node.js or strong JavaScript experience
Event based asynchronous programming, promises
Nginx configuration and administration
Redis or any distributed caching system
Web sockets: sockjs, socket.io, or similar
PostgreSQL or MySQL or NoSQL storage solutions (Cassandra, Hadoop or MongoDB)
Express or other Sinatra like frameworks
Extended Node.js and/or authored one or more npmjs modules
Bonus Points!
DevOps: Jenkins, OpenStack, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef
Testing: mocha, karma, mockery, node qunit, httpMock, or similar
Client side frameworks: Backbone, AngularJS, Ember, or similar
Prior experience: C/C++, Java, Python
