CarbonNV, a UK based FINTECH startup with 20 employees is seeking a Python Developer for their India development team, preferably based in Bangalore. Key attributes for successful candidates – self-starter and highly motivated software engineer.

- Work alongside a team of talented Software Engineers and Data Scientists to develop cutting edge algorithms using statistical modelling and Machine Learning.
- Develop and enhance engineering processes targeted towards automated build and deployment. Should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of automated build tools (Jenkins, TeamCity or similar)
- Manage and maintain the (AWS) cloud-based staging and production environments. Should demonstrate strong expertise on building and deploying solutions on AWS.
- Strong knowledge of general Software Development principles and concepts using Python with ability to demonstrate expertise using applications worked in the past.
- Good experience in developing solutions using ORM libraries using open source RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Strong skills in writing unit tests using suitable mock libraries.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, Git/GitHub preferred
- Good knowledge of Agile Principles and usage of Jira (or similar Agile project management tools)
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience of working in distributed development centres spanning multiple time zones
