Expertise required :
- Prior related experience in Product Management from fraud/risk perspective in the related industry (PPI, Bank, NBFC, Insurance, Telecom / Ecomm) (total work-ex desired is 6-8 years)
- Past experience as a Product Owner leading complex projects. Prior project implementation experience with requirements analysis, design, development, testing and production implementation
- Familiarity with AI / Machine Learning or any other similar software to help detect payment transaction fraud
- Past experience launching risk/fraud products e.g. VBV / MSC will be preferred
- Good written & verbal communication and presentation skills are critical. Successful interaction with and management of Technology teams / Advanced MS-Office skills
- Skilled at developing and exercising cross-functional influence, translating between business owners and technical teams
Role Objectives :
- Develop and execute end-to-end solutions and application enhancements to mitigate transactional risk
- Contribute to the entire product life cycle from concept through planning to development and implementation for existing and new payment risk/fraud prevention tools or products.
Job Description :
- Contribute to the definition and execution of the product strategy to reduce payment fraud downstream charge backs, and financial risk and alongside enhancing the customer experience too during payment
- Assist in making the business case for appropriate investment levels based on payment risk/fraud best practices, trends in payments technology
- Define and manage Fraud KPIs, Metrics and provide regular reports on the prevention system performance
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholder and align on clear, actionable product strategies and priorities
- Drive business issues resolution related to fraud product and provide functional clarifications to development team.
- Optimize and improve existing features and functionality of fraud prevention tools to increase the throughput (Account Detection Rate) and minimise the False positives on a large and rapidly growing consumer base
- Identify and empathize with customer pain points and always seek to deliver products, features, and extensions which address their needs too while delivering on reduction in payment frauds
- Effectively liaise with other verticals (Transaction Monitoring and the Team Analytics/Modeller) to have a clear line of sight on the prevailing trends on transaction frauds and the existing fraud control framework company has in its existing form aimed at knowing the change required in the tool/technology to address the potential frauds prevention.
- Must possess External Focus- keep customer in mind while deciding on the fraud prevention strategy/process improvement / network with competition and the regulatory forums (RBI, PCI etc.) to keep a check on the prevailing external trends on frauds and the loss mitigation efforts
- Interacts, communicates effectively and builds strong working relationship on an ongoing basis with business stakeholders (Product/Marketing/Sales)
