• Planning and management of keyp roject activities and resourcesacross specific phases or groups of phases of the project lifecycle, within budget and to agreed timeframes and quality standards
• Primary responsibility for the management and delivery of designated project(s); act as the main point of contact for the project (s) delivery. Responsible for
ensuring the delivery of a robust and effective solution
• Provision of effective and regular communication to all stakeholders, as detailed within the project controls
• Timely escalation of potential issues to appropriate stakeholders
• Proactive and timely identification of risks and issues. Production and implementation of appropriate and effective risk mitigation plans
• Ensure the project deliverables are appropriate for their purpose and comply with programme standards
• Proactively establish influential, positive partnerships with key contact groups
• Support and reflect company commitment to quality accreditation, environmental consciousness and a safe work environment
The role requires the following demonstrated experience and knowledge:
• Internationally recognised project
management certification. Prince 2
strongly preferred
• ITIL v3/2011 foundation or
demonstrable ITIL awareness
• Highly competent in the use of standard project management tools and methodologies
• Competent in data analysis
• Expert in the use of MS Office apps, including MS Project and MS Visio
• Demonstrable experience of delivering large scale infrastructure transformation projects within a complex, global organisation
• At least 5 years evidence of working as a project manager in a high pressure programme / project environment
• At least 3 years’ experience of working within a complex enterprise organisation (global exposure preferred, but not essential)
• Used to working with a variety of differing stakeholders with conflicting agendas, at all organisational levels
• Experience of working within a global located team, leading projects involving team colleagues in potentially several locations
• Self-starter, comfortable with going out and getting information without relying upon others
• Comfortable with working to challenging deadlines whilst managing multiple activities
• Flexible, comfortable with ambiguity and working to changing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail focused
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills, able to effectively manage company politics and conflicting agendas
• Excellent critical reasoning and problem solving skills. Able to effectively investigate, gather and summarise information
• Customer focused
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage a variety stakeholders in different roles at all organisation levels
