| Brief description of project: Opportune detection of pathogens in real life samples is the key requirement for diagnosis and effective treatment. There is requirement of a device that can provide rapid detection of various pathogens with high selectivity and sensitivity along with reusability and cost effectiveness. The project aims to develop a low cost, highly sensitive and selective pathogen biosensor based on nanomaterials using electrochemical and biochemical pathways. Application of this detection system includes routine monitoring and detection of pathogens for food and water supply. |
