• Manage a team of 10-15 employees Directly.
• Must have had experience in Plant Purchasing roles in Manufacturing domain for at least 5-7 years.
• Be well versed with Purchasing processes and Own all customer deliverables.
• Manage customer relationship and do periodic process reviews.
• Responsible to hire, develop and retain talent.
• Will be expected to develop, promote and sustain high performance culture.
• Control processes and ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements.
• Champions Continuous Improvement projects to improve productivity of the team.
• Transitions processes using Eaton’s Pro launch methodology and Flawless Launch.
• Creates Daily/Weekly/Monthly business reports using tools like MS excel and Power point.
• Communicates with the SCM leadership of plants and distribution centers.
• Handles escalations and provides solutions by using quality tools like 8D analysis, Why – Why analysis.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of all information reported to internal and external customers. Promote quality culture within the SCMSSC.
• Demonstrate Perfect ethical approach and strong personal values
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
Must be a Graduate in any stream with 8-10 years’ experience in Direct material Purchasing.
• Preferred Post Graduate in Operations or SCM.
• Must have team management experience of managing a team of 10-15 buyers.
• Must develop talent and build teams capabilities to take higher complex tasks.
• Must have Strong Exposure in Customer & Supplier Relationship management.
• Lead key projects and drive CI & BPI events within and outside the function.
• Sound Knowledge of data Analysis in Microsoft Excel is a must
• Knowledge of ERP transactions linked to Procure to Pay is a must
• Must have experience in defining process flows, work instructions and standard operating procedures along with Knowledge of transitioning processes.
• Good analytical, written and oral communication skills, especially associated with working in a multi-cultural environment.
• Good influencing skills and ability to work multi-dimensionally in a complex business environment – ability to influence upward, peer-wide, and downward;
• Adaptable to Global cultures and remote working.
• Strong managerial courage and ability to work through resistance and pushback to change
• An individual with a strong sense of urgency and customer focus
• Self-directed leadership with minimal supervision & capability to be self-directed & potential to be empowered to next functional level where appropriate
• Relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
