Designation: Project Manager
Objective: Manage the project(s) from time, cost and quality viewpoint, aiming to complete the project(s) efficiently and within budget. To ensure that technical aspects of the project(s) are as per the initial concept and quality standards.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the strategies and plans, which enable the achievement of Company objectives
• Review and study project detailed design and obtain relevant details from the Development team in order to clarify the technical aspects of the project.
• Provide inputs on the technical aspects of design to contribute towards cost planning.
• Implement at all times the need for a cost effective approach to optimize cost in selection and installation of materials, subsequent maintenance requirement for MEP services.
• Presentations to Project Managers/Senior Management with advice for selection of systems pertaining to MEP services.
• Monitoring progress, cost and quality and initiating action to rectify and deviations.
• Identifying any existing or potential problems, dispute or conflicts concerning MEP services with the cooperation of all concerned in the best interest of the client/Company.
• Review of material submittal shop drawings and material samples where considered appropriate.
• Coordinating project team’s activities and output related to MEP services.
• Monitoring all pre-commissioning/commissioning checks related to MEP services and progress of any remedial defects liability works.
• Liaise with consultants in order to secure all local authorities approval /NOC’s related to MEP services.
• Coordinate with project team and vendors for procurement and delivery of client procured materials.
Qualification, Experience & skills:
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the MEP field
• Plans and runs long-term complex projects with a number of aspects to co-ordinate. Manages large teams to bring projects to successful conclusion.
• Proficient at managing suppliers and contractors. Able to monitor the overall performance and resolve most problems.
• Able to handle multiple business pressures and operate effectively under stress
• Expert knowledge of operating standards, policies and procedures.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an added advantage :
