Job Description:Resource Mobilisation
• Forecasting needs for forthcoming financial year
• Identifying sources for short-term and long-term finances; arranging adequate quantums in time.
• Periodic evaluation of cost of finance and operating costs.
• Liaison with bankers and financial institutions for ensuring speedy processing of company’s proposals.
• Extending guidance to internal departments for day-to-day operations.
Accounting Function
• Oversee preparation and scrutiny of all accounts and ensure that the same are kept up-to-date;
meet all statutory requirements.
• Preparation of monthly and annual accounts.
• Ensure that all the systems, procedures, rules and regulations such as travelling rules, leave rules, and so on are implemented properly.
• Oversee completion of statutory Audit as per the Companies Act.
• Design and develop various procedures for initial control and checks.
• Analyse Auditor’s advice/suggestions/objections for improving systems / procedures.

Taxation •
• Ensure proper corporate tax planning
• Advise personnel department on tax matters
• Ensure that the latest tax laws, along with their implications, are brought to the notice of the management from time to time.
• Handle all legal matters relating to taxes including tax audit assessment. •
• Interaction with consultants, solicitors, legal counsel and auditors for clarifications, opinions and implications of new laws/amendments.
Company Law and other legal Matters
• Convening all meetings and taking all actions as per the requirements of the Companies Act and other laws of the land.
• Liaisoning with stock exchanges, Registrar of Companies office, company law board and SEBI
with regard to various legal and other matters.
• Ensuring effective investors’ service.
• Tendering advice on starting new units, takeovers, amalgamations, acquisitions and mergers,
from legal angles.
Budgets and Budgetary Control
• Initiate the process and ensure completion of budgets in time.
• Design and update formats for operational costing data and budgetary control
• Provide feedback to all concerned on budgetary performance.
• Evaluation of profitability of each product group and activity for decision making.
Costing
• Implementing costing systems, procedures and practices. •
• Designing formats for collecting costing data ..
• Obtaining feedback on actuals versus budgeted costs for action
• Carrying out studies for cost reduction and cost control
• Creating cost consciousness.
Management Information System (MIS)
• Operate the MIS effectively and disseminate information on a timely basis to all concerned departments / individuals to initiate remedial action, whenever required.
Corporate Planning
• Assist by making available timely and accurate data.
• Keep exploring investment opportunities.
• Monitor projects undertaken to avoid cost overruns. Computerisation and Integration Systems
• Coordinate and provide necessary data and input for computerization of accounting systems with proper integration of the same in the overall computerization of the company’s operations.
• Plan and advise for future integration of systems both commercial and technical, in order that operational efficiency improves.
Internal Audit
• Devise, implement and update the system.
•
• Send feedback to departments for corrective action
• Identify mala fide transactions and initiate action as applicable
Export Benefits:
• Develop information systems for timely claiming of export benefits as and when applicable .
• ‘Manualise’ procedures and identify checkpoints.
Insurance
• Ensure that all the assets of the company and the personnel are always duly covered under relevant insurance policies with necessary. risk covers.
• Keep updates on changing rules / regulations / provisions of insurance policies.
Excise / Customs
• Maintaining updated knowledge of legal provisions and case laws for effective working.
• Effecting payments as per law and in time to ensure that no penalties are levied.
• Preparing briefs for effecting representations to government and effective working with consultants if applicable.
Documentation
• Laying down lists of documents to be maintained and also system of checks, accountability, safe
custody and disposal.
• Disposal of obsolete documents. Company Property
