Understand the valuation processes, related systems and pricers
Intermediate to advance knowledge of financial products (which includes exchange traded, OTC Securities, OTC Derivatives, etc.) and valuation theory
Perform daily and NAV related valuation processes ensuring that all trades are priced using the relevant price sources and valuation tests are applied accurately
Independent resolution of routine issues relating to valuation and P&L queries
Analysis and resolution of valuation tolerance exceptions at trade/ position level
Independent interaction with internal teams and external clients, vendors and counterparties
· MBA – PGDBM (Finance) / CA/ CWA/ MCom/ MA (Eco)/MSc (Maths/ Stats)/ BE/ Graduate (BCom, BSc, BE) with CFA level II or FRM level II OR Graduate (Bcom, BSc, BE) with core experience in back office/ middle office processes · Intermediate to advance knowledge of financial products (which includes exchange traded, OTC Securities, OTC Derivatives, etc.) and valuation theory · Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · Team player and proactive approach to taking on additional responsibilities · Learning ability · Working knowledge and higher degree of proficiency in MS Excel functions and ability to work with large amounts of data (preferred) · Accuracy in the daily and NAV related valuation processing with in-depth analysis of any valuation exceptions · Accountability of all valuation processes and initiatives for the clients assigned · Adherence to policies, procedures , controls and deliverable timelines · Point of contact in the absence of the Associate Manager · Effective communication between internal teams and external clients · Application of knowledge relating to financial products including OTC derivatives, valuation processes, pricers and systems · Participation in process improvement and system enhancement projects
