Job Description
Prepare the technical solution (HLD/LLD) and cost build output (BoM) and provide technical risk assessment.
Perform design implementations and improve the technical competence of the Technical Design community in Asia Pacific.
Support key large contracts during the delivery and in-life support phase.
Facilitate pull through business in a sales /technical consultancy role.
Key Responsibilities:
Improve the overall quality of design life cycle by using lean and sig sigma principles; leading to a higher number of successful right first time deliveries.
Identify, understand and document our clients networking and outsourcing requirements; provide design support during the bid phase where required and post contract.
Produce cost-effective technical solutions in order to achieve BT Global Services business objectives.
Liaise closely with the other BT Global Services departments (Sales, Presales Propositions, and GCSO) to ensure that appropriate systems and skilled resource are fully utilized or developed where necessary.
Develop effective interfaces and understanding with BT Design departments in order to provide world class solutions.
To produce and implement detailed designs in accordance with the agreed network design architecture.
Manage account specific design team to maximize utilization and customer satisfaction.
Responsible for ensuring that the produced network designs are in alignment with networks strategy and are current and fit for purpose.
Produce network design documents both High Level Designs (HLD) & Low Level Designs (LLDs) in accordance with the agreed network design architecture
Working with E2E designers, solution Architects & Engineering teams for input and to understand and incorporate changes in the designs produced.
Technical risk assessment in a proposed solution.
Network design component pricing wherever required.
Network implementation & support activities.
Coaching, mentoring & training of other Network Infrastructure Technologists in his/her area of expertise.
Choice of solutions technologies/services to best fit our clients requirements.
To actively support, at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
