Profile
Education: Graduate with Diploma in materials management,
preference to engineering graduates / post graduates /
MBA’s
Age: 35 years +, but below 50 years
Experience: over 12 years in materials management, out of which at
least three years as independent in change of materials

Basic Skills set: Strong negotiator, excellent communicator, Highly IT
Literate for ERP environment,
Value Add: Experience in Project Procurement, knowledge of cement
Industry, Working on e-procurement platform

Functions
To ensure all procurement / sale activities defined below are carried out strictly within the defined SOPs and the Purchase Manual. Also ensure the implementation of all Corporate Policies & Procedures keeping in view the long-term perspective of the Organization.
To plan, Organize, Co-ordinate and Control all procurement activities for achieving the Plant and Thermal Power Plant Goals by effective purchase planning, which includes raw materials, input materials, spare parts, capital goods and project purchases. Cost, quality and in time delivery would have top priority.
To plan and import coal, gypsum, spares, capital goods etc, and ensure all documentation is done in time
To ensure all activities are channeled thru Ramco procurement / sale systems
To maximize use of e-platform (Ariba) for purchase and sale.
To ensure timely sale of scrap and disposal of old assets
To finalize all inbound logistics for goods, and support dispatch in outbound logistics
To ensure proper co-ordination among all the functional heads, Power Plant for efficient commercial services.
To procure all high purchase value defined common materials for SCL and GSCL plant. This includes items like Coal, Petcoke, PP Bags, flyash etc.
To continue to implement all norms of indent to order, order to delivery, closing open indents, review of pending orders and improve by periodic updating the same.
To establish and maintain strong Follow up systems for timely delivery,
Administrative Responsibilities
To be the one-point coordinator for internal audit, and ensure timely submission of management response for all audit queries
To be the secretary of the Plant level Risk Management committee and monitor timely meetings and updating of risk register
To monitor proper maintenance of all Management Control Systems.
To ensure proper maintenance of Statutory Records under all the Acts (pertaining to material functions) applicable to the Company and maintaining good liaison with Government Departments for timely compliance.
Staff responsibilities
Participating in setting Plant Goals, KRAs for self & commercial staff, periodical review, based on actual performance, in attaining the goals / KRAs.
Maintaining high standards of Safety & carrying out all employee welfare measures.
Analyzing Strengths and Weaknesses of the commercial staff working under control & ensuring proper training & developmental activities for them.
Appraising the performance of various executives objectively enabling the management to take judicious decision with regard to rewards system.
General
Carrying our any other specific assignments as and when given by the Management.
