Job Description

Transaction Data Control :
– The Transaction Data Control (TDC) is a global team of operational professionals who partner with Operations, Technology, Compliance and Business to improve decision making through the creation of cost effective controls that reduce risk and improve client service.
– TDC build automated controls that effectively monitor Operational processes and help business units proactive manage their risks.
– These controls may then serve as the basis for strategic planning and technology investment decisions by the business units.
– Activities performed by TDC include:
– Developing control frameworks and models that enable proactive detection of risks and control gaps within operational data, systems and processes
– Performing business process reviews, including review of infrastructure (data flows and system applications) supporting reporting functions to identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements
– Conducting in-depth data analysis to assess data quality and integrity, identify issues, and areas for structural improvement
– Leveraging data modelling tools & techniques to build models that can help solve business problems
– Consolidating analysis to provide risk and control assessments of business functions
– Assisting with incident analysis and follow-up, and
– Building subject matter expertise in business lines and products traded to provide expert opinion for operations processes
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential :
Some specific set of responsibilities are :
Business and Data Analytics :
– Analyse business processes to document front to back business flows
– Create business process models using industry standard tools (Signavio) and techniques (BPMN 2.0)
– Analyse system and data flows to assess risk and evaluate effectiveness of processes
– In depth analysis of processes to assess data completeness and accuracy
– Conduct root cause analysis and suggest remediation for gaps identified
Designing and Developing Control Frameworks :
– Design control algorithms to quantitatively analyse integrity of information flowing in and out of firm-wide systems
– Design and develop automated control monitors with extensive use of technical tools including programming languages, scripting languages, and database models
Additional Responsibilities (Associate) :
– Manage projects which will include estimating resource requirements, establishing project timelines, assessing project costs and documenting proposed benefits
– Lead a team of analysts which will include defining tasks and activities, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables
– Interface with team management and stakeholders which includes providing updates, dealing with client queries and building consensus
