Full understanding of sector, contracts, risks, opportunities and sector commercial drivers

Build relationship with Finance Managers and Sector Leads

Treat Sectors as like running your own business

Give opinion and challenge based upon facts

1st Line support for UK-Based EMEA Finance Director

Communications to team including skip level meetings, Town Halls and news letters

Team Management

Training and Experience record mentoring for off shore team

Coaching & Mentoring

Create successor

Governance

Full understanding of balance sheet items and compliant with accounting standards

Review and challenge of monthly soft cost report

Strong financial process and control in place for the approval of overtime. Overtime correctly accounted for Recoverable/Unrecoverable

Hold monthly detailed P&L reviews and clear articulation of month end results, forecasts and budgets. “Telling the story”

Ensure sufficient controls in place to ensure accurate billing

Reporting

Ensure consistent reporting across all Sectors

Ownership of MMF, Budget and Forecast process

Own MDM maintenance for sector

Drive weekly KPI reporting for sector

Should act as a bridge between the Finance & Operations team

Liaise with onsite teams

Continuous Improvement

Drive improvement initiatives and also support improvement initiatives from onsite

Support onshore team in achieving the big rocks

Proactive individual, inquisitive and has the vision to create ideas to improve the effectiveness of the finance function.
