Detail Of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Research Associate, Senior Research Fellow Recruitment:
Two (2) Senior Research Fellow and One (1) Research Associate positions are available in DBT sponsored project entitled “Blocking invasion and sustenance processes in Malaria: Targeting essential proteins of P. falciparum through design of novel peptide inhibitors”. This project is under Dr. Anand Ranganathan, Associate Professor, SCMM, JNU.
Senior Research Fellow (SRF):
- Education: M.Sc in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology or other related subjects and with 2 years hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology.
- Desirable: Proficiency in Gene cloning, protein purification, protein-protein interaction technologies, mammalian cell culture, parasite culture and infection.
- SRF – Rs. 28,000/- plus 30% HRA
Research Associates (RA):
- Education: PhD. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology or other related subjects with experience in cellular and molecular biology. Proven track record of publications in international peer-reviewed journals and 1-2 years’ experience after PhD is essential.
- Desirable: Proficiency in Gene cloning, protein purification, protein-protein interaction technologies, mammalian cell culture, parasite culture and infection. Experience in different microscopy platforms (fluorescent, confocal), FACs, Co-immunoprecipitation and different blotting techniques are also desirable but not essential.
- RA – Rs. 40,000/- plus 30% HRA
- Tenure: These positions are purely temporary, renewable after one year and will continue until the end of project (June 2018) based on satisfactory performance.
