Job Purpose
To ensure delivery of specified objectives – relevant, timely and accurate reporting of financial information to stakeholders in accordance with UK Pensions Act & Statement of Recommended Practices
Principle Accountabilities
1. Delivery Management • Ensure achievement of agreed SLAs by the team in the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts for relevant, timely and accurate reporting of financial information to stakeholders.
• Ensure adequate assistance in the closure of the books of the accounts on monthly and annual basis.
• Ensure Compliance with the accounting policies, procedures and the accounting GAAPs
•
2. Continuous Improvement • Identify areas of improvement in existing processes to ensure better SLA delivery
3. Business Liaison • Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues and 3rd parties
• Continually strive to raise the profile of Captive Insurance Accounting within and outside the organisation
Person Specifications
Education Essential:Chartered Accountant/Any other Professional Qualification
Work Qualifications Essential:2-3 years of relevant work experience of preparing financial statements such as P&L, Balance Sheet and Annual reports.
Knowledge Essential:: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Desirable: working knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP
Skills & Abilities Essential:
• Good Communication skills both written and verbal
• Analytical abilities & eye for detail
• Good Interpersonal Skills
• Good MS Excel and MS Word skills.
